How Our West was Won

Tucalota Creek Ranch (TCR) is a multi-purpose equestrian oriented facility located in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country in Southern California. Set upon 30 acres and surrounded by some of the region's best country side, TCR is a world-class horse training, boarding and breeding facility. The TCR Cellars tasting room is also located on-site. Here wine club members and guests can sample TCR's portfolio of Artisan wines that celebrate our championship equine heritage. The pristine grounds make for an ideal venue for a ranch themed wedding, athletic event, or party. Come by for a visit, witness the passion behind the horse training, try some of the valley's best wine, and plan your next event.
Tucalota Creek Ranch (TCR) is based on three defining values: Elegance, Passion and Tradition.
Elegance, because we are, and intend to be, refined and graceful. The nature of the performance horse business is beautiful in movement and appearance. Our products available reflect the elegance of our respected equine operations. We will continue to render a quality that is tasteful, precise and decorative.
Passion, because we are enthusiastic about our business. We strive to be the best and represent the best. Product offerings will only be those whose styles reflect appreciation of ranch heritage and the allure of the West.
Tradition, because we operate our business genuinely and honestly. The West was founded on the simple sincerity of a handshake and hard work. We will continue to represent traditional values in the work that we do and the products we sell.
The Story
In 1997, Alan and Kay Needle were looking for a place where they could expand their love of the performance horse. Alan loved to ride and show as an amateur in Reining and Reined Working Cow Horse events. The couple owned several horses that, hopefully, were going to be shown as Open horses in the same events. The number of horses they owned began to grow along with the desire to work with the best trainers and to breed some great horses of their own. So, the property in Temecula, California was purchased. Alan and Kay had been busy designing, and making furniture, pioneering furniture and interior design almost 20 years. It was only natural to them that this ranch would not only be a premier horse training and breeding facility but exceptional in beauty and design as well. And so it began.
The Needles have been very fortunate to have many successes in the performance horse industry and have had many unique relationships with some of the best Horse Trainers in the business. Many of these friends wanted to enjoy furniture similar to those developed for the ranch. Now, after many years of developing Ranch and Western Lifestyle furniture and looking for accessories that were unique and complimentary to this lifestyle, Tucalota Creek Ranch is offering many of these items to you for your enjoyment in your own Ranch or Mountain Lifestyle home.
In 2009 we started our venture into wine production. Thus Tucalota Creek Ranch Cellars got underway. It has been a slow process with a few stops and starts. Our wines carry a theme of Horses, Heroes, and Friends. We have endeavored to bring good wines together with some favorite Horses and a few amazing Heroes, many of which we are proud to call friends. We highlight each wine with a great photo and an interesting story.
Our plan is to bring to you the best products we can find. In the future, look for more of the types of items we now show here, as well as tack and horse supplies. We will also be hosting many exciting horse events, corporate events and weddings that the facilities at the ranch can easily accommodate. Please enjoy as Ranch Lifestyle continues to grow.
